Welcome Back Dance
Last night was Moreau's Welcome Back Dance, and I've got to say, it really did feel like I was welcomed back. I felt so comfortable in the company of my friends and the rest of the school, that it didn't take us long to start dancing at all. I guess you could say we felt right at home, right smack dab in the middle of the huge and suffocating circle, but it was fun to be in on all the excitement. The music though! It's what fueled everyone last night. For what is a dance without good music to accompany it? The music fit us all because of the genres that reign supreme in our generation. A variety of rap, hip-hop, R&B, and pop added flavor to an already anticipated night, let everyone get loose, and was a huge factor to why last night was so successful. It was the kind of music that you'd find in a club, and soon enough everyone was on the dancefloor, enjoying the night. It was a night to remember, a great night in the history of my high school life. I guess everyone did say they "Got a Feeling" and did "dance, dance like it's the last, last night of you life, life." And at the end, we all found that we did have a wonderful time.

Music can bust your windows. Literally.
I have to practice a dance for a friend's cotillion that I'm part of, and we're trying to perfect the Cha Cha. The music comes on, and it's the Glee version of Bust Your Windows, and the mood sets in. Gamefaces are on and we're focused on our partners. It's crazy because your body is completely straight, but your feet move so quickly and precisely that it's hard to keep track of all the steps. The power of the music. Nothing else matters, no one else, but you and your partner. We try to make it as real and intense as possible. Passion is mixed with attraction. And I just have to say...I'm feeling it.
